Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd.(President and CEO Shozo Katayama) hereby announces that the company is joining RubberNetwork.com as a member company.(02. March, 2001)

Toyo plans to take advantage of the online solutions offered by RubberNetwork.com, such as electronic catalogs, auctions and reverse auctions, estimate request processing and supply chain management, with the aim of maximizing purchasing and supply chain efficiency, expanding the range of available suppliers, and reducing processing costs.

RubberNetwork.com is the tire and rubber industry's first e-business marketplace. It was established in October 2000 by six companies: the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (U.S.A.), Michelin(France), Continental AG (Germany), Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. (Japan), Cooper Tire & Rubber Company (U.S.A.) and Pirelli S.p.A. (Italy).

RubberNetwork.com is scheduled to start operations this April.
