Toyo Tire Neon Signs Erected in Beijing and Guangzhou, China(21,July,2004)

July 21, 2004 OSAKA, JAPAN ― Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. (president: Yoshio Kataoka) today announced construction of large-scale neon signs in Beijing and Guangzhou, China. They are the second and third large neon signs advertising TOYO TIRES to be erected overseas.

One of the neon signs is located in Beijing’s largest downtown area. It faces Wangfujing Street, a popular tourist spot and gathering place for young people. The sign, measuring 6.0 m in height and 13.0 m in width, features the words “TOYO TIRES” in the blue logo color and the equivalent Chinese characters （東洋輪胎）in red. The other neon sign is set up in the central district of Guangzhou, an area called the “economic gateway to China.” Ideally positioned near an overpass, it also carries the brand name “TOYO TIRES” and the Chinese version, （東洋輪胎）. This sign measures 5.0 m in height and 34.0 m + 8.0 m in width.

The Company plans to use neon ads to increase TOYO TIRES’ brand recognition and enhance the brand image.
