Computer Simulation of contact pressure distribution on tread block element during braking
These CG simulation charts show the distribution of contact pressure working on tread block elements of the S930 and the previous 900 when braking force is applied.
The redder the color of the contact area, the higher the contact pressure works on the area of contact.
More red-colored area seen on the block and sipe edge of the S930 compared with the 900 shows that the S930 provides more grip against braking force, resulting in better braking performance (as proven later in actual field tests).
